palm of hand with cirlclesYoga means “union” which signifies that nothing is separate;
we are all connected.

Yoga is the sister science to Ayurveda. While Ayurveda focuses on balancing the physical form, yoga uses breath to calm the mind.
While it is accessible to all people regardless of limitations or age, restorative yoga is a very advanced practice.

It allows us the possibility to release very deep stored tension and emotion and can be a form of meditation.

Benefits include:
• Decreased cortisol levels (increased cortisol can cause fat storage and inhibit learning and memory)
• Enhances flexibility
• Deeply relaxes the body
• Stills the mind
• Balances the nervous system
• Boosts immune system
• Improves sleep quality
• Enhances mood

Currently restorative yoga sessions are available in the Commit-to-Health retreat setting only.
